A more in depth explanation of the services offered and how you can benefit from them.

Counseling/Psychotherapy

This is done Telehealth only at the moment but this may change in the future depending on the growth of the practice. Often billed through insurance. Most major insurance companies are accepted and include but do not limit to: Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, Tricare, etc. Clients must reside in New York or South Carolina to receive Professional Counseling Services and bill through insurance.

Most common topics covered in counseling include but definitely do not limit to: anxiety, depression, stress, panic attacks, life transitions, sex issues (for men and women), and more! Therapy modalities can include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology, Exposure Therapy, and more!

Prenatal/Postpartum Mental Health

With this service and a spin on mental health, this is your place to discuss how pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum has been affecting your life mentally. As many mothers and families never know what to expect, it is nice having someone along the journey with you that can detect when things might be off or if you are on the right track. Some mental health struggles that mothers often face can include anxiety with pregnancy, postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, postpartum psychosis, and more. â€‹Sometimes new moms have bad thoughts, and that is okay!

As this is a "niche service" that I am working on adding into practice, these services can only be billed through insurance when clients reside in New York and South Carolina. Adding my professional licensure to more states will help expand Mental Health services to this population and will be coming in the future.

If you reside outside of the states listed, you may still be able to book for information or to ask questions but it will have to be an out of pocket cost and will not classify as a professional service for billing insurance companies. Please contact the practice to learn more about out of pocket pricing.

3

Labor and Delivery Advocacy

This service is dedicated to spending time with the client or family while in Labor and Delivery. Some aspects of this service can be done via Telehealth and other aspects can be completed in person. This service would be greatly beneficial for those who:

  • Will be giving birth alone

  • Military spouses and families

  • Birthers of the LGBTQ+ population

  • Traumatic births

  • Those with a lack of support systems

  • Families giving birth to babies with addiction, birth defects, and/or abnormalities

  • Families of miscarriage and/or stillborn

These are vulnerable populations that could benefit from having another set of hands or someone to look out for the best interest of family AND baby. Although, everyone can be susceptible to pregnancy and postpartum mental health complications, everyone can benefit from this service to start their new journey on the right track!

This is another "niche service" that I am working on putting into practice. As the same as above, if you reside in New York or South Carolina then we can bill your insurance for this as we will be doing Professional Counseling while the client is in Labor & Delivery. Only in person advocacy is offered in the surrounding area of the where the practices physical location is.

If you reside outside of the states listed, you may still be able to book sessions for information or to ask questions but it will have to be an out of pocket cost and will not classify as a professional service for billing insurance.

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." - Carl Rogers

Just wait...until your baby smiles at you for the first time...

No birth story is the same, it's okay to write your own.

"You see a child play, and it is so close to seeing an artist paint, for in play a child says things without uttering a word. You can see how he solves his problems. You can also see what's wrong. Young children, especially, have enormous creativity, and whatever's in them rises to the surface in free play." -Erik Erikson
