A Personal Letter to You

What began as the scariest and most uncertain time in my life, became my passion for helping other moms and families begin their parenthood journey. I had no idea what to expect, how everything was going to occur, and had very limited support during this time. I constantly tell myself, "If I knew then what I know now, I would have had a completely different experience."

About the Owner

I’m Elizabeth, the owner of Pleasant Oakes Counseling. I’m a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC in New York and LPC in South Carolina) offering online therapy for individuals across both states.

Therapy with me isn’t about being perfect or saying the “right” things, I will always meet you where you are it in your life. I work with a range of mental health concerns, but a big passion of mine is supporting individuals during pregnancy, postpartum, infant mental health, and labor and delivery. I am also passionate in working with those with sexual trauma. Having the right mental health support during these isolating times can help you gain confidence and get you back on the right track.

In addition to therapy, I also provide in-person labor and delivery support, offering this support during one of life’s most important transitions. My support can include but not limit to help with single mom overwhelm, reinforcing your birth plan, assisting with your first feeding, and so much more! Think of this as closing the gap of uncertainty in the most vulnerable part of becoming a parent.
